Monsoonsim Bootcamp Competition Rector's Cup 2022

FEB, UNPAK — Simulation games are a better teaching method than learning courses and case studies in the information systems curriculum. Software simulation in the form of games in the world of education is no stranger, because this method has been used for quite a long time.

The simulation game will provide a realistic picture of the activity so that students play an active role in carrying out the activities provided in the simulation game.

So to form Unpak students into quality human resources, it is necessary to have a means of increasing skills, especially in the ability to analyze efficient and effective systems and good management control in managing the company so that they can face technological challenges and competition in the global era that is happening.

MonsoonSIM is the right simulation game to introduce the concept of education by utilizing the teaching system method by direct experience (immersive experiential learning model).

However, at Pakuan University, MonsoonSIM is currently only used by the Faculty of Economics and Business. So in order to expand the education of Pakuan University students, MonsoonSIM Club FEB-Unpak initiated to create an activity, namely the MonsoonSIM Bootcamp Competition for the Rector's Cup which is expected to be a means of modeling education for Pakuan University students who can form quality human resources who are more prepared to face global competition. in this 4.0 era by participating in the entire series of activities held.

The same thing was said by Prof. Dr. Hj. Eri Sarimanah, M. Pd as the Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Partnerships at Pakuan University, said that MonsoonSIM is a means that can be used as a forum for self-development that mainly hones students' abilities, namely Complex Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Creativity, People Management, Coordinating with Other, and Decision Making.

So it is hoped that through the MonsoonSIM platform, students can have a learning model that gives the impression of directly enjoying business processes that actually occur in the real world. So with MonsoonSIM, Pakuan University students can become excellent human resources, independent and with character. 

The following are the objectives of the MonsoonSIM Bootcamp Competition for the 2022 Rector's Cup, including:

1. The formation of interests and talents of Pakuan University students in the field of business or entrepreneurship as well as strengthening friendships and increasing relations between Pakuan University students.
2. Pakuan University students can understand and add insight in business management in the company.
3. The creation of quality human resources who are prepared to face global competition.

The MonsoonSIM Bootcamp Competition for the 2022 Rector's Cup has various series of events, namely:
