We Help Villages: RAJUT-SULAM Collaboration Program Unpak-UMT

FEB, UNPAK — Pakuan University received a visit from the Faculty of Business Economics and Social Development (FBESD) Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), 20-23 July 2022.

A total of 32 FBESD students from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu with group leader Dr. Ir. Hj. Yuari Farradia was accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hayatul Safrah Salleh and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azizul Yadi Yakoop held a public lecture and visited the BUMDESA Bogor Regency.

This visit is the final series of our program to help villages – 2022 which is a community service activity that is carried out in collaboration with:

• 30 BUMDESA Bogor Regency under the coordination of FORUM BUMDESA Faculty of Business Economics and Social Development Universiti Malaysia Terengganu
• Faculty of Economics and Business, Pakuan University (FEB UNPAK)

Our program to help this village is called RAJUT-SULAM: Rural Development Joint Project for Business Transformation – Service Learning Malaysia. This program is carried out from April to July 2022.

The RAJUT-SULAM program involves students and lecturers from both faculties in assisting the business of BUMDESA Bogor Regency.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hayatul Safrah Salleh, there are many good impressions and benefits of the collaboration between Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and Pakuan University (Unpak).

Through this collaboration, students can collaborate with networks that have been built by both parties. The Malaysian Ambassador (student/a) came to Indonesia, especially to Unpak to interact and collaborate with each other.

According to him, this will create a collaboration towards academia, research and others. It also opens opportunities for Unpak students and students to come to UMT for internships or to continue their education.

Then, with the help of Unpak as the host, 10 UMT students will later be flown to Indonesia to conduct industrial training activities (internships) for six months in the Bogor and Jakarta areas.

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Pakuan University, Dr. Hendro Sasongko, Ak., MM., CA., closed the RAJUT-SULAM activity on Saturday, July 23, 2022, also attended by the Chancellor of Pakuan University Prof.Dr. rer. Pol. Ir. H. Didik Notosudjono, M.Sc
