FEB, UNPAK —Ustaz and students at the Almahali Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Muara Village, Kopo Village, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency are the targets of community service activities (PKM) from Pakuan University (Unpak) Bogor. They are equipped with knowledge about accounting and digital marketing online, Saturday (24/10).

This activity raised the theme 'Empowerment of Islamic Boarding Schools Through Modern Marketing Strategies and Accounting Information Systems. The materials provided were filled in by Dr. Chaidir, SE M.M, Bayu Dwi Prasetyo, SE. M.M and Mutiara Puspa Widyowati SE. M. Acc., Ak.

“Alhamdulillah, Ponpes Almahali is the location for PKM from Unpak. The teachers and students here receive material on financial accounting. There are also digital marketing materials," said the owner of Almahali Islamic Boarding School, Jalaludin Almahali, Sunday (25/10).

He was very grateful that the campus made the Almahali Islamic Boarding School the location for PKM. This step can help Islamic boarding schools continue to grow, especially in the digital world. This is because the man who is familiarly called Kang Jalal wants the Islamic boarding school to be more advanced and not seem conservative.

“Islamic boarding schools must open up and not be left behind. We are grateful to have the opportunity to learn by PKM Unpak, this is very good for teachers, managers and students here to increase their abilities, "he said.

In the future, Kang Jalal hopes that many other institutions will also come to the pesantren to provide training or the like. The collaboration of pesantren with various agencies and institutions is very important to make the pesantren more advanced.

In fact, he hopes that digitalization in Islamic boarding schools can be applied in the future. For example, the books being taught are available in digital format so that students can learn simply by opening their computers.

"God willing, we will also cooperate with other parties such as IPB for example for agriculture and animal husbandry. In the future, we will collaborate with academia, campuses, government and other elements. I hope it goes well," said Kang Jalal. (fin)
