FEB, UNPAK— In today's world economy, the theory given in daily lectures does not seem enough to face today's competition. Especially at the beginning of 2020 we are faced with a catastrophic outbreak of the Covid-19 virus that has spread throughout the world.
To eradicate this pandemic , of course every element must work together . one of them is doing Physical Distancing and Work From Home.
As one of the Universities that has contributed in dealing with Covid-19, Pakuan University, especially the Faculty of Economics, wants to provide its students with a provision that will later become a spearhead to help students deal with the impacts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and learn to adapt to existing changes.
In collaboration with PT. Nutrifood Indonesia, Faculty of Economics, Pakuan University held a #Ngopinsipirasi Virtual Class Web Seminar (Webinar) which was conducted 2 times, namely on 19 May 2020 and 22 June 2020 followed by a total of 200 participants.
The first Webinar has the theme "The Impact of a Pandemic in Millennial Skill Development" with the speaker being Kak Made Budi Ramdani as the Customer Development Manager of PT.
Indonesian Nutrifood. This seminar discusses what soft skills can be developed during this Pandemic Period and discusses whether the world of Entrepreneurs is still the prima donna for millennials in the economy during the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Kak Made, in this Pandemic Period, the most suitable business is the Online Shop (Olshop) because transactions are easy and there is no need to make direct contact. Online marketing can also penetrate the wider community so it is possible to get more customers than selling directly.
Then for the second Webinar with the theme "Economic Challenges in the New Normal Era", the speaker was presented by Kak Wiradetia as the Customer Development Executive of PT. Indonesian Nutrifood.
This Webinar discusses how people can adapt during the transition to the New Normal Era, such as how the company's strategy is to eradicate the impact of the Covid 19 Pandemic and what business opportunities are qualified and can be done by people who have lost their livelihoods to meet their needs in times like this.
"Business opportunities that can be developed are the first to produce health products because people need vitamins and hand sanitizers but at a reasonable price, masks have more dominant business opportunities, people are looking for masks because the government requires them to wear masks such as masks with motifs. The second is basic needs.
So the right business opportunity at this time is health products, hygiene, staples. Now people don't think about buying a cellphone they will think about how to eat.
They sell with health frills, again what is the right way to deliver to consumers. Staples are necessities because of the food crisis caused by people staying at home, and farmers will increase their work production.” said Kak Wira.
It is hoped that after holding this Webinar, it can add knowledge and insight for students in adapting in times like this. Don't be discouraged in improving your competence, both in the field of entrepreneurship and in other fields, because the slightest effort you make will bring changes in your life.
